Lisa Evans

Robbie and Chrissy are blessed to have Lisa as not only a sister to Robbie, but also as a good friend to Chrissy. The girls were friends during high school when they were both members of the high school group at Saratoga Federated Church and attended the same Bible study. They became closer when they were given the opportunity to share a tent together for a week while building houses in Tijuana, Mexico. Lisa has devoted her summer to serving as crew director for Sonshine Ministries at Lake Shasta. In September, she will go back to Stanford University for her fourth year and will graduate in June 2009.

 

Mary Elliott

Mary and Chrissy’s friendship began way back in junior high and grew stronger throughout high school. They share a passion and love for cooking, baking, shopping, and planning dream weddings. Some of the greatest memories the two share come from their trip to New York City over spring break during their senior year of college. During this trip the girls indulged in great shopping, great food, and great celebrity spotting (most notably Giada DeLaurentiis- their favorite chef from the food network!!). Mary is currently living in San Francisco, but will be moving to New York City in September to begin the masters program at the New School.

 

Emily Fletcher

Emily and Chrissy were lucky enough to have both had brothers on the same baseball team when they were young. Though both shy at first, the girls grew to love playing on the playground together during their brothers’ games. Emily and Chrissy share some great memories throughout the years, such as raiding Longs Drug Store the day after Easter for all of the discounted Easter candy, taking tap dance lessons together, and performing ‘Nsync dance performances at Fletcher family events and holidays. Emily is an avid (and amazingly talented!) dancer, and is currently attending medical school at the University of San Diego

 

Kathryn Lewis

Kathryn and Chrissy met (officially) in junior high and became instant friends when they both realized they were equally a bit quirky and different from their other friends (in a good way of course!). Kathryn is known for her endearing voices and her unique and oh-so-loveable personality. The girls got to know each other better through Spanish class in high school, during which they loved to slowly drive their teacher with their ridiculous stories about Jose el Hippopotamo (in Spanish). Chrissy and Kathryn grew closer during their college years when they both moved to San Luis Obispo and lived as housemates for three years. Kathryn will graduate from Cal Poly in June 2008 with a degree in biological sciences.

 

Marissa Galt

Marissa and Chrissy both moved to Saratoga around the same time and just happened to live in houses right around the corner form each other. They lived so close that if Marissa stood on her balcony and Chrissy stood on her tennis court they could yell back and forth and would even sing Happy Birthday to each other each year. The two share some great memories like almost setting Marissa’s house on fire while trying to bake cream puffs one summer. Marissa just recently graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Communication with an emphasis on Human Relations. She is now working for a non-profit called Blueprint Ministries in San Antonio, which serves the community by offering summer youth programs to renovate and improve upon the homes in many impoverished neighborhoods in Texas, all while demonstrating God’s love and grace.

 

Jessica Uhl (Bridesmaid)

Chrissy and Jessica met on Halloween Night during their freshman year of college at Cal Poly. They were invited to a mutual friends’ house to watch The Ring and soon discovered that they were both total scaredy-cats when they spent the whole movie clinging to each other through the scary parts. They grew to become great friends and both actively participated in leadership through the on campus Christian club Intervarsity (“PCF”). The two lived as roommates along with Kathryn for three years during college and have fond memories of front lawn bonfires and late night Balis Frozen Yogurt runs. Jessica plans to graduate from Cal Poly in June 2008 with a degree in Architecture.
